[ Introduction ]

Olha Strickland's thought-provoking social-psychological series, Finding Happiness, explores the journey of transformation and self-discovery. While it carries a strong sense of fatalistic realism about human nature, it also highlights the importance of embracing the search for one’s own path and happiness.

Through her work, Strickland conveys the powerful message that true fulfillment comes from confronting one’s own truth rather than seeking escape.

Client Project

2023 - 2024

The main challenge in the design process was aligning the image and sales materials with the marketing strategy. During marketing workshops with the Client, two sales directions were defined. The first was reaching out directly to fleet drivers, who could then pass information about the product to their superiors. The second option was direct sales through meetings between the client’s representative and potential contractors.

Over 50 original illustrations were created for the four books in the series, reflecting the dark, expressive nature of the narrative. Additionally, four hand-illustrated stop-motion trailers were produced for each book as part of the marketing campaign.

The book covers are designed around the concept of a "game of life," where each main character in the series must navigate their own turn in the cycle. The series was first published in Ukraine before its international release in English and Spanish. To better align with different market segments, the book covers exist in two distinct versions.
